It is reported that EpicDuel’s infamous Nightwraith has warped into the HeroSmash world! Sightings of Nightwraith have been reported to be in Aurora Park and it appears he will not be here for long! If you want some of Nightwraith’s personal items, you can choose to go and get them now, or wait until he reappears one day in November later this year.

Also, remember that the amount of items in the Daily Shop only grows so be sure to check it every day to see what item has been stocked. Newer items will be added soon, but now the Ancient Aquadia Trident is gone forever!

Ever since Alex has arrived in Swordhaven, Warlic’s been after him. Now, Alex has finally had enough and is seeking revenge, whether it be from your hands or his. This week, you can help Alex plot on how he should go about getting back at Warlic.

You should be very afraid as Eric Greydawn was recently seen laughing maniacally and twirling his moustache while working on next week’s Grenwog release!

Armor Paint Fairy

Although not coming this week, Rolith will possibly be able to add a hex code option to the Armor Paint Fairy so you can customize your character any way you want! Even in the case that this can not be done, more colours will still be added!

By the end of this week (or the beginning of next week at the latest), two new DragonFable posters will be available for you to purchase! They will be available for $9.95 each and come with an exclusive item in-game!

The Fire Claw Scythe will be the unique item from the Xan poster and a trinket whose attack features Artix, Robina and Cysero will come with the DragonFable poster! If you get both posters and equip both items, you will be able to use an extra special trinket attack!

Bunnies and April Fools

To start off this week in EpicDuel, all of the April Fool’s Day and Bunny-themed items will be making their return! Also, do you think Nightwraith’s BioDerp weapons will make it too, along with a new auxiliary weapon or even a sidearm? Well, maybe if you poke Nightwraith on Twitter, he’ll make it so! All of these items and more will be coming soon to a Naomi near you!

Item Stat Rebalance

During the livestream on Saturday, you may have heard RabbleFroth mention a rebalancing of stat modifiers and damage on all items, dependant on many different factors, such as price, level, and damage. Extensive details on how this is going to work has not been released yet can be found in this forum thread by RabbleFroth, but the basic idea is that a standardized formula will be applied to all weapons in order to determine their power. The formula will ensure that there is no clear “best” item at any given level, and will give items a steadier power curve for each level.

A date has not been set for the implementation of this, but the currently goal is to have it released by Friday.

MEESHUNS!

Like last week, the Bionic Battalion Saga will be continuing! As you know, Brachylagus and Capensis prepared for battle last week, but that doesn’t mean the other lagomorphs won’t have their day! Recently, Myxoma has realized Lepus is still stuck in the Biological Preserve and this week you have to help get him out!

Along with the Bionic Battalion missions, some new permanent missions will be coming too! Their locations will not be revealed, so you will have to find them yourself!

Where’s Nightwraith?

Don’t worry if you see Nightwraith missing from his normal hangout in Delta V, he’s safe and sound.. in the world of HeroSmash! That’s right, due to a teleporter accident, he has been transported and can be found in HeroSmash for one week only! His awesome armor will be sold for the duration of the week, and might possibly make a return sometime in November.

 

 

 

 

 

Vampires!

In the world of Lore, Vampires are a very old race. So that means vampire secrets can get lost, in the pages of history.

Orlok

Meet Orlok. He’s Queen Safiria’s Vampire Loremaster. That means, it’s his job to find these lost secrets, using his keen intellect. Recently, he’s found a interesting secret & wants your help with his research. If you help him, you can become a Blood Ancient.

The mid-week release will take place in Safiria’s Castle, where Orlok will be standing outside the castle, waiting for you. Complete his quests & you will unlock a farming quest, which will allow you to buy the vampire-based Blood Ancient Class.

Expect to see a Skill Breakdown tomorrow, & it will be a warrior-based class, good for solo-ing & PvP’ing. This class will require NO reputation whatsoever, to obtain. Just complete the quests & farm the necessary items, and you’re done!

If you do not have time to do this mid-week release, & you still want the class. Do not fret! There will be a 2000 AC version, bought from Itzachi in Battleon. This will also be member-only. Both versions of the class will be tagged as AC items so that means you can store it freely in your bank.

Today, Kiara gives us a nice update about the progress of AQ3D as well as asks what we think about it. Yergen and Thyton have come up with an amazing storyline for the game. I, personally, am very curious about said storyline and will be digging for more details. Now that they have a storyline the team is starting to work on the finer details.

Kiara asks:
*How do you feel about voice acting in our existing games so far? Would you like to see more voice acting in the 3D game? Would you like someone famous to voice act a major boss or are you happy with anyone as long as the voice acting is done well?

*Which are you looking forward to more: questing with your friends or by yourself? (This is just a curiosity question. You will be able to do both, of course.)

*Are you looking forward to discovering hidden quest lines and secret areas in the new world?

It seems the war is no where near over. Kiara thinks that even though this is the biggest invasion the world has seen in years, Artix will prevail. Let’s all wish him luck!

The test was almost a success. The legs and body worked fine, but the arms needed work.

What’s “Mocap”? Why, “motion capture” of course!  Monday motion capture software was used to see if AE could streamline their animation process for AQ3D. Thyton was the tester of the model used for this test. Basically, what it was used for, was to see how well they could tune in body movements on AQ3D with controls used from the keyboard.

The test was almost a success. The legs and body worked fine, but the arms needed work. Yergen said on artix.com that they are going to try and add another camera for a more finely tuned capture. He says no new concepts today (or yesterday) for AQ3D, but some are to be posted on Wednesday.

Alas, no media content was provided, but do not fret – hopefully some will come out on the next updates from whomever shall post on artix.com on Wednesday.

Chapter 1:  Mages Gone Missing

Step 1: During the cutscene you will meet  Conn  he will take you to  Wellmet or Twilight Slums.  Then speak to Benet and complete his quest: Sounds Like Cysero.

• Sounds Like Cysero: Find Cysero  in Twlight Slums. In order To find Cysero go to your left  4 screens then north then left 2 screens  and in order to advance each screen you must defeat the 2 monsters on each screen.  Then when reach the screen with Cysero speak to him. Update to the Potionmaker Storyline!

Poison, something that can cure life or bring death. On Friday, comes an update to the Potionmaker storyline, where Alina must come to choose whether to continue passively making potions or try to save a life, with her poisoned blade & change her future! If you haven’t started the Potionmaker storyline yet, head down to Swordhaven and go right after reaching the drawbridge. There you will find Alina.

New BloodAncient Class!
There’s going to be a new member-only class for this week’s mid-week release, called the BloodAncient Class! There will be 2 ways to earn this class:

1. By playing through the Darkovia mid-week release

My username’s Mekoolness, but some people call me Mek, or Mekool & Spiker calls me Koolio. :p I am an active player of AQWorlds and Dragonfable, but I do play AQWorlds more. I have upgraded in AdventureQuest, Dragonfable & AQWorlds. I’m a SysOps on the AQWorlds Wiki, where I also won September 2011 Contributor of the Month & the PTRO Wiki, and also a Moderator on LoreForum.

I can’t really remember the year I started playing AE games, but if I had to guess, it would either be 2005 or 2006. The first AE game I played was AdventureQuest. I enjoyed it very much, so I decided to play some of their other games. Although, some games didn’t really excite me like WarpForce or MechQuest. For AQWorlds, I usually play on the Artix server & sometimes on Sir Ver.

Anyways, I bet you don’t want to hear more, so I’ll just leave you with this. (:
