Legion Wins!

Congratulations to the Legion for defeating the Krampus and claiming Frysteland! The Aftermath of the war is currently happening in-game with brand new missions from the Frysteland NPCs!

What about Exile?

Although it is quite unfortunate that Exile did not win, they will have another chance to strike at Alydriah in the upcoming Heartbreaker Arc!

Greetings fellow readers, I am Extreme speed from the planet Earth. If you’re here to complain about the lack of people-eating hamburgers on Earth, then please leave me a message. Otherwise, onto the message that the Pony Mastermind Al Gilman has forced me to write.

I was introduced to Adventure Quest about 5-6 years ago, when I saw my cousin fighting underwater mermaids. Who doesn’t love them? So eventually I signed up for it and joined the AE community. I joined AQWorlds when it was in Beta in October 2008. I soon discovered AQWorldsWiki at an unknown date. I happened to sign up for the wiki at around the same time SysOp applications were open. So, thinking of some good reasons to convince Al* as to why I should be considered as a SysOp, I applied. Hence, I am now SysOp/moderator of multiple wikis including HeroSmash Wiki, AQWorlds Wiki & LoreForum.

If you have come to this post looking for constant DC/Marvel refereces or bad jokes/puns , I’m sorry to have disappointed you. BUT, I can lead you in the right direction.
Also, here’s someone who you can go to to get sniped constantly in Halo, or who enjoys burning photos of infamous celebrities.

Galanoth’s blade thirsts for the blood a dragon, and when he is in an Etherstorm Realm you’ve yet to see, and there is no way for you to possibly get to the leader of the DragonSlayers.You will be too busy working to save the almighty dragons, and the elements which are crucial to the land of Lore.

There is no time to find out where Galanoth has gone, or what plans he has to do now that he is in this mysterious realm.

By the way Galanoth holds his sword, the mighty Dragon Blade, you are can tell he is not peacefully discussing anything.

What dragon is about to fall by the hands of the DragonSlayer?

Well, it seams the female model has went through some drastic changes. Today, we received an update telling us that Xero, Thyton, Dage, and Artix have been working on the female model. Though the models look quite different, it seems they only made very subtle changes in it. A current version can be found at the bottom of this post.

Changed made:
*De-wrinkled the head so that the skin looks smoother and softer.
*A lot of reshaping on the brow.

After then finished with these edits, the staff shipped the model off to Dage so that he can help them paint the skin and eyes. Let’s wish Dage luck because, according to most artists, the eyes are the hardest part of any art.

The Dragonfable war has been complete! Thats right, we’ve reached 100% with a current total of over 8.1 MILLION waves and so as reward the fire imp pet has been released along with a new wave option “The Generals Minions” in which you fight the ashen squires!

Also for the celebration of true mortals birthday the “Glavie Of Orb” scythe has been released and it is pretty cool!

Concept Art
Finally, we get to see some of landscape (or at least the concept art) of AQ3D.

Today, Artix posted that Llusion sent him the concept art for a forest.

Though this is only a basic design, the team is making huge strides in their 3D designing skills.

Artix then went to tell us there are two main ways to build maps. The first way the team called fishbowls. This term is doesn’t truly fit the design, though, because the design resembles a square. Also during the Alpha of the game you will NOT be able to go under water. They use the name fishbowl simply because the map is a completely self-contained, explorable map that connects to other maps.

The other type is called Modular. This type of map will hopefully allow player made maps (such as homes) and random dungeons.

These choices will bring so many options to this game. Personally, I am looking forward to the image above becoming a 3D world.

Modeling
Along with creating a 3D version of a forest, Artix told us that he is working with Xero. Together, they are changing the female model’s face. Apparently, when they add lighting to the model, there are too many shadows. Their goal is to smooth out her face so that she does not look aged when lighting is applied.

Frysteland War Aftermath

This week on the 27th, the Frysteland War will finally come to an end! Although the war might be over, Frysteland and its NPCs will stay, and new missions for the aftermath of the war will be introduced. For any player that obtained both the Krampus Slayer and Legion’s Bane during the war, you will be able to keep the first one you obtained while the second will be removed from your inventory.  Also, all frost weapons will be leaving, so if you want one of them, you should hurry up and get them while they’re still here!

Broken Hearts

After Frysteland, EpicDuel will be introducing its next story arc for Valentine’s Day! While Alydriah was busy with the Frysteland War, the Exiles have been planning a strike against the Heart of Alydriah’s operations. There’s not much information available right now, but it’s said to be the darkest thing written for EpicDuel.

Azrael's Curse Weapons

Also coming this week will be a new promo package to replace the current Frost Destroyer weapons. This will go live early Friday and contain Azrael Borg and Azrael’s Curse. Azrael Borg is a new physical robot that will be able to sting with its tail and deliver a heart attack that will reduce the effectiveness of any applied buffs on your opponent. Azrael’s Curse is a set of physical mutating weapons that will carry the Mark of Azrael, which gives the weapons a 5% chance to crit!

The old Heartbreaker weapons will also be re-introduced for purchase at Alydriah’s Heartbreaker Bot in her Fortune City Spire or from the Exile Leader in Old Fortune City.

Balance Changes (Postponed)

Some more balance changes will be made with this update such as the removal of deflection rates from Support to Technology.
